Conservation Groups Urge Congress to Include Conservation and Restoration Jobs in COVID-relief Legislation

The Southwest Environmental Center has joined more than 200 organizations asking Congressional leaders to allocate $25 billion to address the huge backlog of conservation and restoration needs in the U.S. Comparing it to the Civilian Conservation Corps created during the Great Depression, the groups said such a program would create thousands of jobs while helping to restore and protect wildlife, public lands, watersheds and coastal areas.
