The public is invited to join the Southwest Environmental Center on an outing to El Paso's Franklin Mountains. The March 23rd outing is part of the Southwest Environmental Center’s Spring 2019 Back by Noon Series. We’ll be meeting at 7:00 am.
A Park Ranger from the Franklin Mountains State Park will guide us on this 1.5 mile round trip morning hike up the west side of the Franklin Mountains to explore three small caves. On the way to Aztec Cave (which likely has nothing to do with the Aztecs), we will navigate up rocky slopes with lots of loose rocks and be rewarded with a stupendous view of El Paso. RATING: Strenuous
