In August, the Southwest Environmental Center co-organized a national summit called Wildlife for All: Re-envisioning State Wildlife Governance. Over a hundred people from at least eighteen different states gathered in Albuquerque to discuss how we can work together to revolutionize the broken system of wildlife management.
This week, SWEC's executive director Kevin Bixby and wildlife policy associate Amanda Munro discussed some major takeaways from the conference on Earth Matters, a weekly community radio show aired on 101.5 KTAL in Las Cruces and 89.1 KURU in Silver City. You can listen to the show here.
Additional resources and presentations from the conference can be found here.
The Fund to Protect New Mexico's Clean Air, Water, and Federal Public lands as well as the Max and Anna Levinson Foundation provided the funding that made this conference possible.
