Want to help?
Volunteers are essential to the success of the Southwest Environmental Center. Whether it is writing letters to the editor, stuffing envelopes, or attending agency meetings, we cannot do our work without your support. Hours are very flexible. Send us an email if you're interested in setting aside a couple hours a week or a time once a month to help out with any of the following activities:

Volunteer spotlight: Jennifer Kreie
Jennifer Kreie has lived in Las Cruces for 21 years and retired from teaching at NMSU in 2018. Since January 2019, she has been a steady volunteer with the Southwest Environmental Center. She accompanied SWEC during the legislative session to advocate for pro-wildlife bills, and now comes in at least once a week to the office to help us sort out our database with her data expertise. Jennifer says she is really happy about the opportunity to give back to this community and finds it rewarding to work with people dedicated to protecting our future for people and wildlife.
