For the 14th year in a row we're raffling off a Toyota Prius and like last year, it's not any ordinary Prius. It's a Prius Prime plug-in hybrid!
This year the Southwest Environmental Center is excited to announce that we are raffling off a brand new 2020 Toyota Prius Prime plug-in hybrid (color is Blue Magnetism).
The Prime gets about 25 miles on just the electric battery before recharging--perfect for commuting! After that it can run as a regular hybrid. Want to drive to California? No problem. To recharge the battery, just plug in to your standard 110v system at home, or at electric car charging stations that are increasingly popping up around the country.
At an EPA-rated 54 mpg/133 MPGe, the 2020 Prius Prime is one of the most efficient cars in its class.
This raffle is one of our major fundraisers. When you buy a ticket, you not only have a chance to win this fantastic car, but you're helping us to protect wildlife and habitats in the Southwest!
We're only selling 500 tickets at $110 each, so your chances of winning are pretty darned good! The Earth Day event in Las Cruces, NM where the drawing was to take place was cancelled. We will tentatively hold the drawing on the Las Cruces Downtown Plaza on Saturday, April 18, 2020 around 6:30 pm. Regardless, we will live-stream the drawing on our FaceBook page on April 18th, 2020. You do not need to be present to win.
Please note -- if you have purchased tickets on-line after 3:00 pm on Monday, April 13th, you will not receive a hard copy of your ticket in the mail. We encourage you to stop into the Center to pick up your hard copy or to call us at (575) 522-5552 to find out your lucky ticket number!
