Writers for Wolves Needed
The El Paso Times has recently released two articles featuring Mexican wolves. In particular the articles focused on a number of the threats that wolves face in the wild from humans, e.g. illegal killing. Take a look at the complete articles at the El Paso Times site while they are still available:
While this press coverage was excellent what we really need now is responses to these articles. Letters-to-the editor support the paper’s efforts to report on an issue, but also serve as an important gauge of public opinion. Officials and their staff look carefully at letters as a proxy for how voters and constituents feel about issues. Given the inordinate number of threats that wolves face in the wild it is critical that we have regular pro-wolf letters-to-the editor about wolves.
Why not start now? In our action center for wolves we have a draft letter ready to go and Paul is always ready to help make sure that your letter gets published.
