Michelle Shocked to play benefit concert for SWEC

We are very pleased to announce that singer-songwriter Michelle Shocked will play a benefit concert for SWEC on Thursday, May 12, 7:30 pm at the Rio Grande Theater in downtown Las Cruces. Fiercely independent and outspoken, her current “Campfire Girl” tour celebrates the 25th anniversary of her first album, the unauthorized bootleg release of the Texas Campfire Tapes. Other albums include Short Sharp Shocked, Arkansas Traveler and her latest, ToHeavenURide. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the door. A limited number of VIP tickets will be sold at $40, which gets you into a reception with Michelle before the concert and reserved seats in the front two rows. For more info, call (575) 522-5552.
