On the River, For the River--October 8, 2011

Join us for the 15th annual On the River, For the River gala fundraiser on Saturday, October 8th, from 5-10:30 p.m. at the beautiful Mesilla Valley Bosque State Park. The park, which the Southwest Environmental Center led the effort to establish, is located along the Rio Grande near the town of Mesilla.

Always a fun party, this year’s On the River features a mouthwatering custom menu from Andele Restaurant. This special gourmet menu highlights Andele’s diverse range and passion for food. Action stations will be placed around the park for your eating and viewing pleasure. There will be something for all palates and diets. Beverages will be provided by High Desert Brewing Co. and Rio Grande Winery.

Guests can dance under a nearly full moon to the music of Rhythm Mystic, C.W. Ayon, MexiKelly Blues and the Las Cruces High School Mariachi Band. Patrons will also have the opportunity to bid on many unique items in a silent auction, including airline tickets, lodging, jewelry, artwork, meals, and many more items. Parking is limited and guests are encouraged to carpool.

Tickets to the event are $50 in advance for SWEC members ($60 for non-members), and $55/$65 after October 6th. They can be purchased online (below), at the Southwest Environmental Center, or at Enchanted Gardens Nursery on Avenida de Mesilla in Las Cruces, and will also be available at the door.
